Penstemon Port Wine has stunning panicles of bell-shaped wine-red flowers that put on a gorgeous display from early summer and into autumn, deadheading will encourage repeat flowering.
Flowers are great for cutting and can last up to one week in a vase. Port Wine enjoys a full sun position although it will cope with some partial shade but likes protection from strong winds. Plants should be left in winter and then cut back in late spring. A lovely plant for a mixed cottage style border. Loved by bees.
