Aconitum napellus, commonly known as Monkshood or Wolfsbane.
The flowers are dark purple to bluish-purple, and resemble the hoods that monks wear over their heads whilst praying, hence the common name. These plants are extremely poisonous in both ingestion and body contact, always wear gloves when handling.
This plant does not like to be disturbed once planted. Likes semi shade and moist conditions.
